Dive Locations
Villingili Kandu
15–35mVillingili Kandu is one of the most spectacular channel dives in the Maldives, located just a few minutes from our dive center. It is famous for its exceptionally high numbers of grey reef sharks, making it a favorite stop for liveaboards that often return for multiple dives. Divers hook in at the channel edge and watch an incredible underwater show of sharks, large schools of bigeye trevallies, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, and other pelagic species. As the dive continues inside the channel, encounters with huge green sea turtles are very common. This site can be dived year-round, with January to April offering peak conditions and activity.
Kooddoo Faru (Shark Point)
12–35mKooddoo Shark Point is a unique and exciting dive site located on the house reef near a fish factory, just a short boat ride away. With little to no current and a gentle slope starting from shallow depths, it is suitable for all levels of divers, including beginners. Despite the easy conditions, this site delivers unforgettable encounters with bull sharks and schooling spinner sharks, along with grey reef sharks, turtles, stingrays, eagle rays, and large schools of reef fish. The close proximity and frequent shark sightings make this one of the most popular dives in the area.
Kooddoo Corner
18–28mKooddoo Corner is a classic Maldivian channel-corner dive, known for its constant marine action during incoming and outgoing tides. Divers usually hook in and observe grey reef sharks cruising in numbers, surrounded by schools of trevallies and snappers. Eagle rays, stingrays, and turtles are also commonly seen. Due to current conditions, this site is best suited for intermediate to advanced divers, offering an exciting and authentic channel-corner experience.
Maamendhoo Outer Reef
15–30mMaamendhoo Outer Reef offers a beautiful outer-reef drift dive along a scenic reef wall. Currents are generally mild, making it comfortable for most divers. This site is known for consistent sightings of whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, and both hawksbill and green sea turtles. It provides a relaxed yet rewarding dive with an open-ocean feel.
