Risks & Safety
We don't sugarcoat this. Real survival comes with real risks. Here's how we manage them.
Challenge is the point. Recklessness is not.
Environment
Tropical heat (28–32°C), high humidity, intense UV. Sunburn, heat exhaustion, and dehydration are real risks. We provide shade structures and hydration protocols, but your discipline matters.
Ocean & Currents
Strong currents, reef edges, and tidal changes. All water activities are supervised. We assess conditions daily and adjust plans accordingly. No unnecessary risks — ever.
Wildlife & Insects
Mosquitoes, sand flies, and occasional reef fish. No dangerous land animals in the Maldives. We provide insect repellent and netting. Reef-safe footwear is essential.
Physical Demand
This expedition is physically demanding. You'll carry gear, build shelter, swim, dive, and work in heat. Basic fitness is required. Pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed.
Safety Protocols
Our team maintains satellite communication, GPS tracking, emergency medical supplies, and boat access at all times. We have direct coordination with local authorities and medical facilities.
Emergency Extraction
Emergency extraction is available 24/7. Speedboat access to the nearest medical facility is maintained throughout. Your safety is non-negotiable — the experience is challenging, not reckless.
